The Dornier Do 26 sometimes called “the most beautiful seaplane ever built”. The wings had a seagull wing configuration, the outer sections being equipped with stabilizing floats fully retractable into the canopy. The rear engines (pushers) could be raised 10° upwards during takeoff and landing, to avoid any contact between the three-bladed propeller and the water spray created by the front propellers.
