Smoke simulation but done with procedural texture only. There is four basic ajustments. Drivers don't seems to work in the particules tab. For velocity and particules size and such, ajustement need to be done in the particules tab.
Hope this can be of use for someone.

Very nice. How did you parent the empty to control the size though? I am trying to change the shape of the control for the size but I can't figure out what you did and how did you parent the effect. Cheers
