A character I created for a short film that we unfortunately couldn't finish. Camboto is a small robot with a camera-like head. He has an individual rig with different possibilities, like switching between IK and FK, luminosity and color of the eye and much more. More info can be found here: https://blenderartists.org/t/camboto-short-film/1236629
A short introduction to the functionality of the character can be found here: Getting Started wirh Camboto and Lemid.pdf
Hi! May I ask why you couldn't finish the short film? I just watched it and loved everything about it. Same for the character.
Thanks a lot! There were several reasons for this, but in the end it was probably mainly due to the fact that there were so few of us and then someone dropped out.
This is a fantastic model, its design is great and you have some real talent! keep up the good work!
Very impressive work with amazing character design. A lot of hard work seems to have gone in the making of the short. Thanks for the share.
Wow, so good! I love how simple, yet expressive it is.
I wanted to have a look at the model, but I only see a little cylinder in edit mode. Either this is some insane Geometry Nodes work or something is wrong :P Am I missing something?
Maybe it's because before uploading I forgot to unhide everything in edit mode (after I edited one more little thing there). Maybe Alt+H helps. If not, I wrote a short introduction and linked it in the description above.
Wow! I really appreciate your work and sharing it with us! Thanks so much! If you want any free music, please let me know! Some free music for you from me here: https://soundcloud.com/zen_one/1a-1 Also, If you could maybe do a video on how to animate the character, that would be appreciated too...
Beautiful piece of music! Thank you for your kind offer, maybe I'll come back to it once. As for the video, that would be nice, but right now I have to focus on other projects. But since I somehow feel a bit shabby to have uploaded the whole thing here so completely without instructions, I wrote a short introduction and linked it above in the description. I hope that helps a little.
Update to my previous reply:
Yes, that was it. Most vertices are hidden in edit mode. Alt + H shows them again :-)
Thanks a lot!
you are such an amazing artist also than me i qam become the fan of your art can i use it
I'm sorry but I can not change the pose, sorry for the late reply but I had college exams, thanks for helping and this is great art
To change the pose, you need to select the armature (called Camboto.Armature) and then switch to pose mode. Then you have access to the individual bones and can move them and change the pose. Here is a small documentation as help about the rig (and other things) and the meaning of the different bone groups and their colors: https://www.dropbox.com/s/izm3xcxh4i4o5v7/Getting%20Started%20wirh%20Camboto%20and%20Lemid.pdf
thank you so much for sharing this beautiful file and also to help us by answering your comments you are doing a great job <3
