This is a model of a medieval bastard sword, inspired by the one found in a popular medieval multiplayer game called Mordhau. It is 120 cm long, 71 cm wide at the crossguard, and 2.5 cm high. It is decorated with nordic runes and Swedish and Norwegian writing. It includes phrases like Send dem skrikende inn i etterlivet! or Send them screaming into the afterlife. I did not go with any specific style with this sword. It was modeled, textured, and rendered in Blender Cycles. I've exported the model into other formats but the materials are not 100% going to translate correctly to other software. All the necessary textures are packed in the blend file. The model mesh is not watertight so if you wish to print it, you will need to make a few modifications. This is a high poly model and while it can be used in a game, it is not recommended as the mesh is not as optimized as it could be. The engravings were made by painting a black&white mask in photoshop on top of the UV layout. The same technique has been used to create the transition between leather and wood. Most of the runes were made with an online translator while some of them were drawn by my good friend. All the material textures were downloaded from Texture Haven.
you really hate that sword eh? what did he do to be a bastard? all jokes aside this is a masterpiece
