A set of geometry nodes to generate books along the y-axis of any sized plane.
Note: This is still a bit of a work in progress. There are some bugs that can happen if some of the settings deviate too much.
Sorry for the late response. It is possible to change the color of the books.
If you go into the Shader Editor and select the 'ArcLite Book Cover' material, there is a ColorRamp node with all of the possible book colors.
You can change any of their colors, and add or remove colors. The size of the color region will determine the probability of that color being chosen.
This is fantastic. Thank you so much, and thanks for making it public domain!
I’ve been using Commander One’s https://commander-one.com/rar-app-for-mac/ for a few weeks now, and I’m pretty happy with it. What I like most is the ability to preview archive contents without fully extracting them, which saves a ton of time with large files. The interface feels clean and runs smoothly on Apple Silicon Macs. The only drawback is that some formats are read-only in the free version, so you’ll need the PRO pack to create or edit archives. Overall, it’s a reliable and efficient tool for everyday file management.
That sounds like a really useful setup, especially for quickly filling shelves or background environments without manually placing every single book. Bugs are pretty normal at this stage, maybe adding some clamping on extreme values or a few preset sliders for safe ranges could help keep things stable while people experiment. If you are thinking about how to balance randomness and control in generative setups, some of the strategy focused material on https://20bet-sports.com/ can actually be surprisingly helpful for inspiration.
Thanks!
