Description:

v2 featuring aircraft-style colors and procedural numbers.

This is a procedural + geonodes creator for navballs / artificial horizon / aircraft spinny things. It will warp your very objects and textures themselves, to properly project them on an equirectangular map, then render them perfectly flat.

The general workflow is to put objects inside the (0, -0.9)-(4, 0.9) region of the blend, and throw them into the 'Markers' collection. The geonodes will automatically snarf them up and project them up onto the 2x4 surface above it.

There is also a separate workflow using the 'Circle Distort' geonodes modifier, which does the same thing, but allows you to put an array modifier after so you don't have to duplicate it 4 times.

In v2 there are also 'V Digit Scale' and 'H Digit Scale' geonodes which generate text wherever your object has points.

The camera is set up specially to view the transformed area, and a plane is put behind it with important textures. The tickmark textures are all procedurals, and you can adjust them to taste hopefully easily.
