That is PURE AWESOME! There are like 5 of us who remember that show. Someday, I will get an 84 Firebird. She will be mine. Oh yes. She will be mine.

The K.I.T.T. Base car is a 1982 Trans-Am w/ Bowler cap add-ons, but I know a 1984 Firebird is not too far of body style, although there are significant differences in the front grille, headlight/fog light layout, and the bumper.

PS -- edge split modifier does wonders to this model.

Dx3 - thanks for the comments there.

OH yes, the TransAm was definately suited as KITT, I have nothing against Mustangs.......but the recent incarnation of Knight Rider really cheeses me off........and they should of kept William Daniels doing the voice I reckon LOL.

Thanks for the advise on the Edge Split Modifier.......I have actually done a full textured version, just thought Id upload the basic version so people can mess about with it how they wish.....allthough, if people also want me to....I dont mind uploading the textured version too.

Once again, thank you for the comments.

No, if they would have had Anthony Daniels as KITT, that wouldve been worse. The recent show just didn't have the same life as the 80's. The young Michael Knight couldn't have the same dynamic as Hoff and KITT from the 80s. And losing Devin didn't help. There was a movie in 1990 with the Knight Industry Four Thousand which was awesome (the car, the movie was decent). Why they didn't bring that car back and work off that storyline is beyond me.

Tell me about it...........I think the latest series is amongst the worse shows Ive seen.........and a big YES.........no sought of continuation or links to the original or the 'knight rider 2000' movie. And I dont know why they didnt actually design a car that looked somewhere half way between the TransAm and that KIFT car (the red one) LOL. On top of that, I know back in the original both the guy who played Devon and the voice of KITT could really act............its just NOBODY else in the cast seemed to.........especially the hoff. The banter that went on between him and KITT was okay........but when it came to ACTUALLY ACTING.........well......lets put it this way........hes singing is probably around the same level LOL But I suppose I still am a big fan of the 80s version.......have all the ruddy box sets too....how sad is that ay!!!!! Great fun to watch.........if not the crumby acting......then the obvious mistakes they made sure are worth noticing all over again LOL.

P.S. Also, if they brought the car back from the Knight Rider 2000 movie.........would of been very cool indeed.........and painted blacck that car would of been absolutely stunning......anyway, great chatting with you..........and very nice to meet you by the way. You have some great models on your site too.......Ive marked some of them as favourites.

Looks awesome and thanks! I’m thinking of making a game either in Blender for 3D or using Game Maker 1.4/2.2 and taking a screenshot of it to use in a 2D game based on the original series. P.S. We have seasons 1-2 right now.
