Know what you mean Jordan, on one hand it's great that beginners are making models - and kind enough that they upload them for everyone to use. On the other hand if it's something nobody is going to use, either because it's so random, or because it's not modelled well then it's a waist of bandwidth for blendswap and could make beldswap look amatureish.
I guess there's no happy medium.
I did wonder the other day that it'd be a good idea that models should be organised on the amount of downloads, but then there's nothing stopping someone downloading their own model lots of times to bump up the figures and additionally that would mean that the new models that may have potential will be stuck at the end of a category until they get more downloads.
Maybe the vetting should be stricter.
actually this is handy, some of us render circuit boards out before actually building them. Helps with the design process when you can visualize everything and make sure it all fits on the board and in a project case before putting it together. so yeah, getting some caps, diodes, ics etc would be very handy. currently i have to download crap sketchup models of these things and import em into blender, then spend the time to get them scaled to the proper size... A blend with a grab bag of electronics components would be superb.
