A cool high detail warp gate or other cool SciFi use. Originally done in 3dsMax and brought over for the blender community.
This one is very cool. How did you model it? I mean any tricks or did you just spend a day on detail tedium?
For the ring interior detail I used a modifier called Greeble for 3ds max, I am not sure if there is an equivalent for blender or not. The external boxes were hand modeled and just duplicated around the ring.
I have heard of Greeble from a coworker. I will have to look for it.
where did you find the disscombobulator that will work in the 6's.or did you make it in 49b and update it. very nice,very nice.
You can use displacement modelling in Blender.
It gives you a pretty cool result with little effort.
