A whimsical little spaceship/mech hybrid. It jumps into the air to launch itself, then the legs swivel back and are used as thrusters. I envision the Lucky Frog as being some sort of pirate gunship, or perhaps just the craft of a perfectly honest merchant who happens to need some firepower. The ship itself might have some sort of verbally abusive AI installed, but those are just little story details I have- you're free to make up your own. Loosely inspired by the stuff from Project London- the technique of using subdivided but optimized edges was a big thing I learned from their sample .blends.
Anyway, this model is fully rigged and ready to go. An intuitive IK and FK-based rig allow the animators maximum control when manipulating the Lucky Frog, and the Frog itself has been meticulously textured and details have been added to perfection. A word of warning, though: You may want to turn off the mirror values on some of the materials; while they do add realism, they also add to render time substantially.
All textures are included in the .blend file.
E154: Spambot alert!
Dx3_1979: I don't have any specific use in mind for this one. It'll turn up later in something, that's for sure, but at the moment it's just a little "brain fart."
@HJM "brain fart" made laugh like hell.
Very cool blend, man! As always, top notch.
I must say, I am very curious what you are planning on doing with these machines of yours. They are frogs and bunny killers that would work well up against the Aliens, with Ripley at the helm.
