The model is a rigged BMW 1 Series M coupe in Velencia Orange Color. It is modeled in Blender 2.6, and uses the Cycles rendering engine and node based material pipeline.
This is awesome. You are a baest at modelling autos! I've learned a ton from your models, especially this one and the older one from the blender interior render BMW. Awesome, awesome model and render!
My time :

very nice work indeed.
AMD Athlon II X4 2.8GHz., 4 GB memory
Nvidia GT 520 1GB, 48 cuda cores, dual 1920x 1080 displays
Windows 7 x64, Blender ver. 2.62
CPU render time 9min 11sec
GPU Cuda render time 9min 20sec
Nvidia GTX750 2GB GPU render time 1 min 45 seconds.
Maybe you should try Nvidia's Geforce TITAN GPU that just came out yesterday although it is $1000!
Check this out rendered animation along with the machine stats and rendering time in the description!
Here is the TITAN link - http://www.nvidia.com/titan
If Apple ever comes out with a new Mac Pro I am going to go with the TITAN.

Just got a refurb HP Z600 with Dual Xeon X5650 2.66GHZ CPUs, 12 total cores.
Running Windows 7 64bit and Blender version 2.74
Video card is an old and slow Quadro FX1800 and not supported for GPU rendering but CPU render time was 1 min 33 seconds with Hyper Threading off and 1 min 15 seconds with Hyper Threading on.
Just added Nvidia GTX 960 to this PC and it took 67 seconds to finish
I have an i5 2320 quad core running 3.0ghz, 6GB ram with a GTX 680 running a triple monitor setup and it ran the GPU render in 1 min and 5 seconds.
mikepan, this is really great. What about low-poly modelling? Have you tried modelling car at around 10K polys? It'd be great to see such a work from you:)
Very nice work. Render looks really nice.
Truly amazing model!!! Is this definitely not Fan-Art? Just making sure. Love the model
Hi very good model i am a newy in blender 3D and want to fix the right rear wheel how can
