This is my most up to date rig. It's much more flexible than my last 3 that I posted on here and the mesh is much more clean and appealing. There's also a new facial rig system, which uses controllers in view the viewport rather than sliders in the side bar, although they aren't directly on the face. I'll be posting more characters (hopefully a bit more appealing) and improving the rig later on, but for now it's just this one :)
Like last time the layers are in the sidebar, all labeled, as well as the ik/fk controllers and the stretch controllers. The deformations on the arms and legs are waay better than before, you can now rotate the upper bones on each limb and not horribly deform it. Although, doing the splits is not recommended yet :/
This rig requires blender 2.57 and up, or else you won't be able to access all the options in the sidebar.
If you link the character into another scene and make a proxy for the bones, make sure they're named Guy_Rig and not Guy_proxy or else the properties won't show up.
Very nice. But when you group the objects and link them in another file (the best way to use characters), the "Guy's Properties" panel doesn
have been eagerly awaiting another upload from yourself, can't wait to study and try reverse engineer it. Every blend you've added to this site has helped me learn a lot. Thanks so much, and please if possible let the gaps between your uploads get shorter (kidding)

Man, this and your 3 character pack are so easy to use. By far the simplest and most useful rigs I've used. I'd love to be able to rig something even half as well as these.. dont even know where to start.
if you could have a video of how you made this model and rig, that would be great, and would help me and a lot of other people when we want to make things at least half as good as this ;).

Well, I took a few weeks to make the Guy's Properties Panel to apear after import it in another scene. I was ashamed of asking. So i did a little tutorial teaching new blender users a way to do it.

Thanks for sharing this great character! I was doing a walk cycle and noticed that you can't copy and paste between fk_upper_arm.R and fk_upper_arm.L. Is there an easy way to fix? Thanks again.
Sometimes the labels won't appear in the sidebar. What's governing this? Seems to happen after keying multiple actions. Not sure why the option disappears. Any help would be welcome. Final semester work is due soon. Thanks, Pam

It should be near the top, there will be a text saying 'Default'. Click the button next to it, then go down and there will be animation.

Nice model but the face rig doesn't work anymore in my blend file …
Just tried to download when I unzip the file I get a Guy_Rig.zip.cpgz file that is another zip file.
