I've retopologized Jonathan Acosta's (Poifox) male basemesh and redesigned the form to give it a more realistic look. Vertexcount is 2041. He has no mouth. I hope you'll find this useful :)
The model looks awesome but I'm a bit of a noob. How do you get a Rar into blender?
question to everyone, how can i contact the administrator here? sorry for the silly question, i just don't know how...
i just want to say thanks for making this BLENDSWAP...it really helps...thanks thanks thanks
Just use the contact form, or leave a comment. We usually see them. Cheers
Thx Man :) I still suck at modelling humans!
And I needed a Base-mesh to put some Armor on for a minigame:D
Model Credit to you ofc!
I am happy that you find this useful. I'd be happy to play the minigame if it's finished :)
I will inform you when it is ready, or at least Alpha Playable :)
You can't open .rar in blender. Unpack the .rar first somewhere, then you can open the .blend in blender. If you have problems with unpacking the .rar try using 7zip. I have no problems unpacking with it.
You are welcome :) Have fun with it, and if you want you could show me what you do with it, I would love to see it :)
Howcome all of the human base models are all nude on this site? They look nice and all, but i don't want it to look like he's wearing spandex when i assign materials for their clothes.
You can model clothes on top of the body meshes, then delete the parts below the clothes.
Hi, I wanted to use this for educational purposes. I'm fairly new to blender and I was wondering if it's possible to put terracotta warrior armour on this model? Also I need to use it for an animation, what would I do?
Hey! Sorry for the late reply. You can definitely put the armor on the model. and the topology is good for animation, not the best though, but it will deform nicely for average poses. You would have to rig it first of course. I suggest using the rigify rig, it is very well done, and you can learn a lot from it.
Thanks for making this! It will save a lot of time. I could make one myself but I'm on a tight schedule. I'll be using it to make a modern and more detailed version of a sci-fi video game character (Sylux from Metroid). I'll have to make some adjustments to the proportions a little for the character, as he's a little slimmer at the upper-torso under the armor. When it's eventually finished I'll be putting the final images on deviantART through my account there (same username) and will definitely credit you as the creator of the human base mesh!
the mesh is great... minus the fact i am still trying to figure out how to add details like hair and clothes... i wanna make my own game but i have no idea what i'm doing when it comes to character modeling, any help with this would be appreciated
yay, an actually anatomically correct humanoid mesh \o/ been stuck dealing with the weird armpits of the makehuman mesh... not good for modeling clothes & armour :/
I like this new version, good for animation :D
