This is the result of a project I worked on at Christmas. I will not claim that this is professional work, because many of the ways I modeled it (such as the particle system on the branches) was intended only to stretch my own ability with blender, as I'm still learning the program. All the textures were made with blender except for the wood on the wall. Due to the fact that some of this was modeled in Blender 2.5 and some in 2.49b, the physics and particle systems are rather shaky compatibility-wise and may require tweaking for them to look right on your computer. The render time for me was around 2 minutes on a core 2 duo.
The tree should be on the second layer. the lights, presents, and everything else are all scattered on different layers to make it easier to work with. I relive there are a few spare pieces as well, like a fireplace I started on, but never finished. Hope that solves your problem!
To give everyone fair warning the angel mesh is very messy, as it was edited in a hurry from a 3DS max character. Many of the vertices are doubled and there are a lot of gaps and other nasty things to work around. Sorry for the inconvenience. I suggest you replace it with a star or maybe a angel of your own if you have issues with it.
