Description:

If any of you ever needed a menu for your game and didn't know how to do one, and tutorials didn't work, then this is the perfect blend. It contains a simple show mouse script and when you mouse over a button it darkens. To change the text select the plane with the '@' and go to the logic window, then do 5 spaces in properties and type what you want.

All my blends I make are in 2.49b sorry, so they might act a little funny with much higher versions.

As I said before, I make all my blends in 2.49b. Sorry for any inconvenience :/

The mouse-over works, but no text.

Am I doing something wrong, or did you mistakenly upload an only partly finished version of your blend?

When I run the GE, I get 3 white rectangles mostly on top of 3 dark ones, no text or @; and in the 3D View I see 3 pink small squares to the left of 3 grey rectangles.

Selecting any of the 3 pink square, I can see in properties the text you intended to show, but it doesn't show, and I'm too much a nube to try to make it work.

To make the text work you have to have it on texture face mode and other stuff and whatnot, I made it on 2.49b so I wouldn't know how it works with other versions. if you want I can update it for 2.6 :)

Thanks Cube Boy, I should have included a pertinent piece of info: I AM using 2.49b.

But the downloaded .blend doesn't show what your PIC here of it does, in that when I run it, there's no menu text showing, and there isn't any "@" to select to change the text, so it doesn't work, even though I'm using 2.49b. That's why I'm thinking the download here is an incomplete version?

Maybe you could download what's here, and compare it to what you have that works, and upload the one that works, complete with all the "other stuff"?

I LIKE the idea of just having to change the text in properties to change the menu item's label, that's really nice!
