Description:

my first real try to make a nice model

-2 hours of modelling

-20 s rendertime on i5 2500K (could be used for animation)

-average node setup complexity (2s processing)

-no textures,i hope someone could texture it, but i can't, yet.

nice. thanks for sharing dude. i like it. if i find time i'll texture it and give you a pic of it textured (and the .blend if you want). but no promises there sadly... alot of work for school and blender will have to take the backseat for a while if i can't squeeze it in...

Just a heads up: the file is a .blend1, so if anyone was confused by this just rename the extension to .blend and it'll work a charm :D

Thanks for your interest! i think i'll model another starship but start with cleaner modelling, smaller, and with a more aggressive design.

I like this one, it has a "flow" of starship, feels well proportioned. Well done!

if your pc support cycles try it ,i seen on blenderguru a tutorial on it i have initiated to use it for rendering ,on core 2 duo 2.6 ghz and i see lot of diffrence in performace when i start the rendering process, you can see realtime preview and on my pc work good, with a machine as have you it will go faster faster if have use a good graphic card like cards based on nivdia chipset, try it if you want , for me is cycles is now my default rendering engine .

I've got a CUDA GTX 560 ti/OC, it's pretttyy pretty fast with cycles, but from now, there is not enough control on lighting/materials/renderpasses for what i want (CG integration, lot of lighting control) cycles is perfect for product rendering, but it seems that there is a scale lighting problem, everything look like 1 meter scene with it whatever how much work you put on it. when there will be CG integration capatibilities with cycles, i'll be using it a lot!
