I had an Idea for a fps so I started to medeling. In the end I felt like sharing this with other.
There is about 2000 faces in the blend that includes arms.
It is rigged with easy controls (more info in the blend file)
There is also some test animations (I am not an animator)
It's unwrapped and does NOT HAVE ANY TEXTURES!
this is Awesome, but couldn't you just make a complete character,place the camra inside the so the camra would see waht the character would see, and position the arms the in same matter?
Thanks for the tips but there is a major problems with that, and that is the rotation at the shoulders that limit the capacity of the models (With this you can rotate at the base to "hide" bad deformations), even though it won't be noticed (Unless you use to have some shadows.) You also need to animate the whole body instead of just the arms.
in a way you should animate the whole body with first person shooters, it makes it feel more real, also good topology would fix the "bad deformations".

Oh man PLEASE give a texture download! I need this really bad (really awesome model by the way) but I have zero knowledge of texturing! Please reply ASAP!
Oh and also, how do I control the grip (open/closed)? I can't seem to find the finger bones... Nor can I find the alternate animations... I'msonoob

Very sweet, but I have 1 problem. When I append the objects to another project, everything is OK. But when I move to another frame, doesnt matter -1, +1, +10, -1000... the point fingers and the thumbs go weird,

It says that the finger bones are on layer 2, but they're not. (They might be, but I can't see them)

how do i rotate the camera? im working on an animation and i cant make the camera and the arms turn, like at a corridor and stuff.
Its pretty good but one bad thing... it has triangles. triangles cause weird mesh deformation during animating but it is a good model :)
What? I hope that you know that my models are mostly fitted for games ( My target zone), All games use triangels in their models. If you know there to place it ain't really a problem.

thanks Axel for uploading the FPS Hands mesh, currently I'm creating a proof of concept FPS for the android Tegra Nexus 7 tab made with Stontrip's Shiva engine so I'm modeling/texturing/animating everything else weapons, ingame scene etc: lol I don't trust my human character modeling skills at this stage still learning so my "attempt" would wind up looking like a hobbit's two left feet !!

Thanks a lot! It's very frustrating to model these for every test gun you make in an engine like CE3, since it for some weird reason requires the hands to be part of the gun.
Really weird downloaded it got and got a blue screen oh well nice model man
hey uhh, idk how to get the finger bones to show or anything, like all I can do is move the bicep, forearm and palm of the hand. there's no finger bones. (Sorry, bit of a blender noob here xD) But yeah, If you could just explain to me on how to get those things to show, that'd be great. unless I have to rig them myself, which that's okay too :P

This is a great rig. There is so much you can practice with this download, and it has saved me a lot of time. Thank you! For those who have trouble bending fingers, first go to the Armature Menu (looks like a gingerbread man) and choose the Middle Bottom Layer to see the finger manipulators. You also should go to the Dope Sheet, switch to Actions and make a new action. (don't forget to delete keyframes from the Punch animation)
