Those are 64 islands / terrain tiles , generated with the ANT Landscape Generator plugin and a gold matcap material.

What score did your computer give in this benchmark ? I just noticed that sometimes i wont run the first time you try it. If your starting framerate is 24 fps or less it will stop because of that python script. You have to try it several times. Just press ESC to stop it and P to run it again.

The score on my laptop is around 98,000.

Score 196710 on my AMD Bulldozer. But it uses max. 15% calculationpower. BGE does not use multicore effective i think.

I think bge is using a single core at the moment. The physics engine seems to fluctuate the most , at least that's why i see when the profiling is turned on. They need to optimize the single core performance first. It's not there yet.

With Blender Release 48697 from graphicall i get a much higher score now. Score now is : 218416 . They optimized the physics engine so it's not calculating collisions anymore if liniar velocity drops to less than 0.8. Very tricky optimizations. lol
