A fully-rigged blue lizard character.
Thank you very much, your characters have been a huge inspiration for me when learning how to rig. If this is even half as good as Billby , it will get a place in my essential rigs to learn from folder. Thanks again mate
cheers. I can't take credit for rigging (or animation) on this. That was Jeremy Davidson now comfortably the go-to guy for rigging at the Blender Institute on Mango. I just did the model, UV, and shading.
There seems to be a problem with the rig. The arms do not respond to the bones. Other than that, this is pretty good.
Just a little tip for a blender newbie.. where is the trick with the arms? Thank you very much.
Ok, for anyone having trouble with the arms, it looks like there are two arm rigs. I think one is IK and one is FK. But I have another question on this. I want to bake the full render to the texture, but I'm getting a "feedback loop detected" error. Anyone know how to fix this?
Also stuck on the arms they seem not attached to mesh. The weights seem right but something is locking it, will try to figure it out..any users know?
I figured it out it is a combo of FK and IK so switch to using IK for Arms. I built a new one in the end I think it is the only way to really learn I still use the original as a reference. I tried to resurrect the drivers with some success wanted to use them to learn animating speech and movement.
nice lighting.
