Followed the tutorial by Andrew Price
i made the poly count a but low but the render results are still great
i did not model a few details like the street lamp etc
just boost up the samples.
Textures not included as the textures are from cgtextures.com
Please update the image with, at least, a screenshot, putting an image not resulting from your work is against the rules as it is misleading to the other users of the site.
okay i will try to upload my image if my computer doesnt crash or else i will try to render it without ambient occlusion, indirect lighting, etc
@amogh, also do not zip the .blend1 and .blend2 files in your zip. Please repack the zip and re-upload. You can find out how to edit your blend here. http://www.blendswap.com/how-to-edit-your-blends/
@amogh, I think the main issue with the preview image is the blend you uploaded has no textures in it. Has nothing to do with AO, or IL, etc.
i cannot upload the textures as the textures are from cgtextures i will re-upload the .zip file thank you
Ok, in that case, you can show the same preview image just in the description tell people the the textures are not packed because they are from cgtextures.com and then provide links to the textures you used, so other users can get the same results as you are showing.
i got the problem solved with the issues with the preview image
can i provide the links to the textures in the decription or i have to provide them in the .blend file?
You have to do it in the description if they're from cgtexture.com, you can't upload their textures on Blend Swap.
k i did it thank you
do u know how to get a post in the staff picks?
i really like this..however, less realistic.
I agree, but I did this about a year back when I was new to blender...
can u make some update on it?
I am really working on another project, however if you want to make it more realsitic try switching the materials to cycles render and render it in cycles. Since this is blender internal it doesnt have global illumination and that's the main reason it's looking fake.
thanks for that ^_^
Thank-you for your hard work. The texture linking is just fine, and is good for license reasons (to keep anyone from trouble). Providing the links to them above is all good. I have textures that I've made and some I've purchased that will look great on this beauty of a bridge with a little work on my end.
i love it!!!! Very nice bridge!
