My attempt at a andrew price tutorial, i added my own stuff to and left out other things that andrew did. WARNING-you need an extremely good computer to open the file!
It use Blender internal render, that have lens flare, to bad cycles doesn't support it :(
very easy, in the compositor add a glare node and switch it to ghosts(i always make sure that i have a shadeless mesh on a different render layer somewhere in the scene were the sun might be, so in my scene i have a shadeless uv sphere directly in front of the sun, and as you can see thats were the lens flare is coming from) thats pretty much it. hope this helps, i hope it didn't sound to complicated.
also i forgot to add, in the glare node turn threshold all the way down to 0 otherwise it wont work
do you know how to get the chromatic aberration effect that effect really makes it stand out thank you for help once again
are you talking about the vignette? thats done by adding a lens distortion, and turning up distortion all the way to 1, then adding a math node and switching it to greater than, then add a blur node switch it to fast gaussian, relative, x, and 20% for both y and x, now add a mix node and switch it to multiply and mix it with the scene done.
good work! but blender crashes if i add other complex meshes while rendering
okay...but it seems like a sky is also missing...its just kind of yellow touched background...and if i add a world-->texture-->image or movie texture as a sky its stays like this...yellow at all? whats the point ? seems like its your sun flare layer which is always on top...how can i fix this? greez
thats weird, try moving the sun flare to a different render layer
how did you do the lens flare?
