These buildings are modeled after some real old town buildings from the USA.
The brick texture was created by taking a photo of some bricks on the front of my house. I used the lens distortion filter in gimp to remove lens distortion. I then used blender's stencil with wrap enabled to make it tileable. I then used a paint brush with .001 strength on white with lighten mode to remove any objectionable tile shading.
These are assets for my film and I thought I'd give a few to the blender community. If you see anything on my site you really want I'll try and post them up to blendswap, but I can't make any promises since it takes a while to get them packaged up for blend swap properly.
Here's the link to my films blog if you are interested:
What's there looks really good, but why are there two buildings in the image while only the smaller one actually seems to be in the blend file. There's only one layer to select, and nothing seems to be hidden.
Where's the other building?
Sorry, I uploaded the wrong .blend, I'll try and fix it tonight.... sorry for the inconvenience.
Very nice! Thanks. I need to start developing some locations, and these buildings make a nice start toward a downtown street. I'll rename and modify them for such use, but if they get used in something significant I'd still list a credit.
Good luck with your project!
Cool, glad you like it, I spent a long time on these so it's good more people can get some use from them.
Thank-you for the CC-0 license. I am going to put this into Los Injurus City map project for BeamNG Drive. If you have the game, as the author of this model, please message me there (look up the mod and you'll find me), and reference this model and I'll throw you a beta link for the closed beta when it's available periodically. That is my way of giving back and saying thanks. If you want a triangulated efficient collision model for this object, I can forward one back to you and you may add it in to this model at your desire, if you'd like it. Give me a shout.
I'm bookmarking this for f&w schmitt's family farm future reference, so much valuable information.
