Earth and Moon scene done in Cycles with Nasa's Blue Marble Textures.
v2.0: I have changed Moon shader and textures. Small fixes to Earth material.
Looks like a very cool animation of earth an moon in cycles. I'm working on a movie about a long term research program, called Integrated Monitoring, in Europe. It is a science project about the pollution of water, forests and the ground through rain and air. Could you imagine to create such a realistic scene of the earth for this movie project? Please let me know. We could also discuss a credit.
@lokie079: It is possible. Contact me via facebook. https://www.facebook.com/adriano.ol
Awesome results - - but an hour and 47 minutes to render an 800px by 800px image. I won't be animating this sucker any time soon.
Less then 5 minutes here with i5 4g RAM no GPU...
Something is wrong with your machine, lusacdigital !
Mines doing the same :/
Why is it showing in pink?
Put texture files in same directory as Blend file.
Really great work Adriano! Thanks for sharing. Have used it for my spacecraft renders: http://zolarenergy.net/en/index.php?category=ideas&page=ideas-spacecraft
Hey, where did you get the 8k milkyway skyphere from?
i was thinking that too
Sos un genio!... Muchas gracias!!!
This is way cool! I really want to use the space scene but the object I append in doesn't work right. Most likely because its audio based and doesn't sync right after the transfer. I also cant figure out how to append the milky way background setup into my other file (the piece I really want to use). Could anyone tell me how to do it? Sorry I'm a newb. I've been trying for a few days now to get some space scene into the background or find a tutorial but I haven't seen anything else I really like. Thanks for the assets! Any help would be super awesome.
Why is this spherical? I thought it was flat...
