Create Your own cursor theme for OS with Your favorite software - easy.
Blender used to get images. Final export done with gimp (You will need plugin to handle cursor image files. In Ubuntu use package called gimp-plugin-registry). To chose some cursor - just select appropriate camera and hit "F12" (or "Ctrl+F12" if animation available for cursor). When You get rendered image (or sequence of images) You need to composite it in gimp and save as "xmc" file (if You have linux).
Finished theme, based on this blend file, You can find here http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/avi9526+Cursors+Theme?content=153527
