Jeepster made a great blend -- Swampler ( http://www.blendswap.com/blends/animals/swampler/ )
I will be using it for the next scene in my ongoing saga, so I RIGGED this character and migrated the materials to Blender Internal
my ongoing saga can be seen here:

Hehe, we pretty much converted it as well to internal and reworked the texture and the low poly model as well, might have been re-rigged too. Anyway, nice to see you're making good use of it. http://www.wuala.com/AncientBeast/bestiary/Swampler/
Don't forget to credit Ancient Beast http://AncientBeast.com and the concept artist, Katarzyna Zalecka http://sythgara.deviantart.com/ as well.
I haven't checked the blend file itself, out of space this week :) Hopefully the license.txt wasn't removed from the blend. Happened before Swampler to be used around and not get any crediting.
Can't wait to see the animation, hopefully my other comment will get approved.
Wow -- yours is better. I didn't mean to step on any toes -- I didn't know about your work or the ancient beast project (except vaguely through the comment on Swampler's original page) -- does it have a blender artist thread or anything? I'd like to know more
No worries. I admire your work, just wanted to make sure the project and artists are getting credited, because we put so much work into this and give so much for free and it happened before that people didn't bothered crediting. I even made a nice license file inside the blend file to make things easier for people, as many don't provide info like that around here and still expect to get credited.
There was a thread on blenderartists a few years ago requesting help, but besides a few positive comments, it pretty much went ignored. I should probably make a new thread and post wips and renders into it periodically, as I've seen others do and maybe some other artists will decide to help as well. We use blender for combat locations and all the creatures will eventually get modeled and animated, either used as spritesheets (2D mode) or real-time models (3D mode).
The project is explained on the homepage overall, anyway, it's free code and asset wise and has strong business strategies. It's a SCI-FI match based tbs game project, the chess of the future, combined with card games like MTG, but playable with creatures, on pretty much any device. It's my project and I work with quite a few people on it. If you hang on IRC, you can drop by Freenode server, channel #AncientBeast or you can join from http://AncientBeast.com/chat (includes applet).
wowee! i especially like the fight sequences too, they are so fluid and get better and better btw i also like that scales is called scales :)
Very good. I like it and printed swampler with an 3D printer (orca from mendel-parts). Here are some pictures of the 6cm print at google+ https://plus.google.com/u/0/114517697459807344169/posts/NTo5FZoGJ5N
thank you for the blend we will show that you are the rightful owner of the blend on our credits of the video game we are making. thanks again
This is a great example of how to credit CC licensed sources, Thanks @dx3_1979 for taking the time and care to do things right :)
