Description:

This is a gun I created for a game I'm working at. It currently has two buttons: one for turning the tactical flashlight on/off and one to turn the two mini-guns on the side on/off. There is also a switch to turn the gun to "auto / three shots / safety" modes. Finally, to give a shark look, I added a shark head in the front with the gun cylinder (I don't know its name) sticking out of its evil mouth and a shark fin where a red dot site is placed in the top. It is about 14k triangles so I thinks its pretty low poly :)

Credits go to me for all parts of the model except the red dot site which goes to @john95. Please give me credits if your planning to use it and please try to tell me how I can improve this model.

BTW, the model was created in blender v.2.56a but I couldn't find this version in the dropdown menu so I picked version 2.6.

Thanks

The holder at the back of the gun and the flashlight are using triangles, but most of the Model is using quads. Looks like you imported them wrong. The grip with the gun trigger could be a bit more rounded because its painfull to hold such a sharp thing. There are a lots of Faces Missing at the Scope. I like the idea of the rifle but it's not clean worked out. You used about 15k+ faces but it coul've been done with about 1k. This weapon is planned for a game so you should learn how to build it with less Polygons (Faces, Quads, Triangles). First Thing is you use 32 Verts for each Cylinder (thats the default value) use 20 thats enough for round things. To improve the overall look you should set shading on every object to smooth, then add to each the Edgesplit modifier and play with the value. Some parts dont fit as they should maybe you should learn a bit about 'snapping'. Here is a Video from Blender Cookie. They also have much other helpful videos maybe you watch some else videos too :-) http://cgcookie.com/blender/2011/08/03/tip-using-the-snapping-tool-in-blender-2-5/

I don't know why but in my original model the flashlight and the tail are quads not tris... so how come you see it as tris?

Updated the blend. Now works with blend 2.63+ perfectly and other stuff which are shown above in blue.
