Written December 23, 2012I don't know why you marked this as fan art. The P-38 has been modeled, portrayed in paintings, and photographed countless times over the decades by various artists.
Besides, it is a government product which is not protected by copyrights.
Even if an aircraft is a commercial product like the Boeing 747, it has been modeled and used in flight simulators for decades without issues.
I would ask the Blend Swap staff to remove the fan boy tag.

at 1,056,893 I'm not really sure your allowed to call this low poly. Even with all of your sub divisions turned off it still weighs in at just under 20k verts, which is better, but still not "low poly" in the traditional sense. The model itself is done well. Id recommend looking into a bit better use of the mirror modifier for a model like this which is so symmetrical. Id also recommend not uploading to blendswap with the subdivision as has as you did, I can almost promise there will be people who wont be able to open this file.
