A fanimation of page 163 of Gunnerkrigg Court
Modelling, Texturing, Texture Painting, Animation, Rendering, and Compositing all done in Blender Except a little done in Inkscape
I had it writted down as page 165, but when I went to check the URL shows 163, the archive navigator shows 163, and the print book shows 163. Also, thanks!
(It's page 165 on my HD. :D
I forgot to tell you to fix the link to the video.
Hey! looks awesome! question how did you do to make it look like comic? i'm trying to do some stuff with that style. Thanks for sharing!
For simple things, I've used shadeless materials, but for the cel-shading that has shadows, I used a 'Color' pass in the render layer, which passes a shadeless (flat) image, and I used the compositor to place a Shadow layer (from the 'Shadow' pass) on top of it. I used a ramp on the shadow layer to make it uniform and flat. Additionally, I hand-painted many of the irregularities and wall cracks. But my main secret is the Shadows on the Color pass. I think I will do a tutorial on cartoon-style compositing sometime eventually.
Page 165 actually. Nice work any way. (I love Gunnerkrigg Court.) ;)
