VW Beetle with textures and simple interior. Blender internal. This is the weathered/rusty version. If I get enough requests I will also upload the nice shiny version. Enjoy.
I used several different images for reference so it probably has influences from several types.
It look like a great piece of work but when I render the scene is dark and incomplete. Am I doing something wrong?
BRIGHTONPIERS I have downloaded the file myself to test and it works ok, are you running the latest version of Blender? The file is 2.65
Got it to work now. Excellent work there with the BI. Just shows what can be done if you've got the skills. I'll to add this to my favourites. If I could say one thing, you could probably get away with being stingier with the poly count on the smaller objects, but superb overall.
Yes, it is sort of a hybrid of different eras. I don't recall bumpers like that on any model (missing the upper bar), but the headlights are more like the post '67 type. It also seems to be missing the wing windows. But it's nicely detailed.
Too bad I can't check out the blend, but I'm stuck in 2.63 for now that Blender no longer supports OSX 10.5.8 and upgrading would break all my Adobe CS4 programs. "Hey! We're upgrading! hope you have hundreds and hundreds of dollars to buy what you already have!" At least Blender's free...
Cool u remind me of the 80s. Please may i know how long u 've been consistent with this (blender) i feel like giving-up to me it seems impossible getting something cool out of blender.
hey man i open up the blender file and render and texture does not appear :(
i solve that problem.. my issue is that i cant get it to render as good as yours :(.. i really need to render a still image as good as yours!
This should render the image on Blendswap straight from the blend file without any additional files or tweaks.
Hi natman, i am making a animation and think use yout beetle (here from brasil: fusca), can you send me your name, or place only natman?
Hi Lula, my name is Neil Taylor and I live in the United Kingdom. Good luck with your animation!
Nice looking car, I was hoping that the engine would be in the back. Has anyone built the engine in blender yet? If no one has, I may separate it from my project and upload it here. It's a pain in the tail to get everything right so I was hoping to save some time by downloading it.
Wow, I 'd like to see the shiny version! Wich type is it? (1200/1300/1302/1303/...)
