Description:

This script generates random diffuse colors for all object in current scene of the blend file and sets some settings to simplify creation of material ID maps used for making masks in graphical editors like gimp and photoshop

Install addon in blender's preferences, activate it, and follow instructions on screenshots in the archive.

This can be very useful, thanks! Perhaps a feature which deletes the copied scene automatically after you click okay afterwards in other panel? Maybe a panel in the UV editor or something?

Would be good to mention - useful for Blender Render engine. If you work in Cycles and you have crated all materials for cycles, just switching engine to BR doesn't work for addon until you disable node checkbox for each material.

Thank you. Great time saver. Now I don't have to select each mesh individually and change the material color.

Some of the colors are pretty similar, but different enough for ID selection masks. Useful if you have several materials to change.
