My cousin was looking to buy a new mantel for her fireplace. I build furniture as a hobby, so I offered to make one for her. I used Blender to come up with the mantel design. Its a very traditional style with a white semi-gloss finish. The fireplace is based on the existing gas fireplace in my cousin's house.
I figured that I would share it on Blend Swap because someone out there might find this useful in one of their scenes.
The floor and log textures were created from personal photos, so the images are not copyrighted. Feel free to use them however you want to.
Enjoy!
Thanks! Blender is a great tool to use before any home remodeling/renovating project. Getting the design that you want before you start construction can save a lot of time and money.
This is just what i needed for my dining room scene that i'm currently working on, great work and thanks for making this model available, will be sure to credit you in the description.
Looks good! I've been trying to use Blender to come up with a new fireplace design for my house too, but haven't gotten anything we like yet.
