Rigged and textured woodpecker bird with fur, ready for animation with Blender Internal Renderer. It is possible to adjust shaders for cycles renderer.
Made for this video by Hypnosis:
Woodpecker made by Martins Upitis
Nice job Martins, will check out your links for sure. Thanks for the cool upload.
That is a really good model of a "pájaro carpintero" (woodpecker). I have the same BMF question.
We paid money for making this rigged bird, so we own it and can do whatever we want. We decided to share it with others.. but.. to be sure I asked Martins a month ago if that would be ok with him and he said: "Of course, why not!" .. so everything is ok, don't panic. :)
I believe payment for intellectual property doesn't transfer the rights to that intellectual property unless in your contract there is a specific copyright transfer agreement (in writing) in advance or a subsequent payment for the copyright was made along with an agreement afterwards.
All that just to say be careful.
Great model, thanks so much for uploading it and thank Martins for allowing you too. Cheers
Beautiful! Thank you for this contribution Hypnosis, I just read your comment about how you paid for it and then shared it and I'm sure many people appreciate it as much as we do in these comments!
Thanks so much, this is really an incredible model and I feel like there's alot I can learn from it.
I wish it had real feathers instead of a texture but otherwise it's a very good model and rig.
hi guys, i just downloaded the model, superb by the way, but comes without textures, where i can find them?
UP +1 digging up. As said above. No textures for all objects. There is only body texture embedded inside .blend file
in Blender 3.3: Append - > Choose Woodpecker.blend - > Textures - > Check "Fake user" box - > Select all - > append. Then select every piece of mesh and press "Use nodes" in texture settings. Then add texture nodes by the hand. It takes time but at least UVs work correctly
I just want to clear up something. This is CC0 by Hypnosis. But then you indicate that the model is by Martins Upitis.
My question is: did Maritins Upitis license his model as CC0 as well?
I'm not challenging the CC0, I just want to ensure that I understand the nature of the license.
Thanks, nice model.
