|Stone in image is a subdivided version from original one|
Low poly stone/rock (90 faces ) with 4096 px manual painted texture, probably a little overkill(photos by me, no license troubles), so it may be useful even for close up.
Cycles material, to enable bump map use a value like 0.003
Thank you! Those 23 Mb are almost all about the png texture. I think you can downsize it with no problems for the UV layout, if needed.
I'm a total beginner, just finished the getting started videos. Can someone explain me how to make the stone less round and put more imperfection to the surface? Is it something I have to do moving the single vertex or is there a modifier for that? Thanks!
Probably i'm a little late for reply...you can add more imperfections to the stone using modifiers: start adding a 3 (or more, is better) level subsurf, then a displace modifier: you will need to give a texture to the displace, as well as correcting the strenght (0.2 usually is a good start). This can be useful: http://www.blenderguru.com/videos/how-to-make-a-realistic-asteroid/
I'm confused with those 23 Mb for this low-poly single object. Anyway, good work.
