Have fun with it and feel free to use this Survival AR Headset
for your project :)
Great job on this model. There is only one thing. You have inlcuded copyrighted material by including the sketchfab logo. Therefore you can't release the model for commercial use. Either you remove the copyrightet material or you mark it as fanart. I like the model, it is only legal issues that trouble here.
Edit: also the display texture infringes copyright by the use of the windows logo, the google chrome and google search logo etc.
My poor graphics card struggled with this model, but nevertheless I got a lot out of looking at it.
Nicely detailed and you seem to have got the helmet wearer's wish list pretty much covered.
Could you tell me how you did the labeling?
I'm sorry about your graphics card, I forgot to deactivate the Sub-surf modifiers.
The labeling was the easiest part. First I was looking for a good font.
I decided to use wwDigital.ttf (http://www.fontriver.com/i/fonts/ww_digital/wwdigital_specimen.jpg) This font also includes small letters in digital style.
The next part was the labeling off the components, with text in Blender. (shift/a/Text) and also i used a cube in this process, to make the lines under the text to point on the components of the helmet.
When everything was ready labeled, i converted all the text objects into mesh objects. Select all text objects with pressed shift key and press C, old and click on Mesh from Curve/Mets/Surf/Text.
At last i summarized all the labeling objects to one object. Select all Objects with pressed shift key and press ctrl, J.
Done, I hope it helps you :)
I tried turning off the visibility of the sub surfs but it made no difference, so I applied all the modifiers, but that didn't make any difference either.
Never mind.
Thanks for the explanation of the labeling - I succeeded in making a label just like yours (although on my system it is Alt+C to get the Convert menu).
Good exercise for the neurons!. Curious model for me, but a great quality one. Very well.
