It is said that cats don't like water, but not this fearless feline. From here to Tortuga no rat is safe when Pirate Puss sails the High Seas. Don't be fooled, he may look as cute as a kitten, but he fights like a tiger with the heart of a lion. Complete with a pirate hat to keep off the hot caribbean sun, a pair of comfy boots and a cutlass to keep those sea dogs in order, Puss makes the PURR-fect pirate. Sadly the treasure chest is empty, Puss having spent the contents on kitty litter and catnip. Have fun with him, he's all ready to weigh anchor!
Puss is low poly (3200 polys), rigged with rigify and rendered with cycles. I got a bit carried away with the chest, it's fairly high poly (I was having a problem with smooth shading in cycles). I'm very much a beginner when it comes to cycles materials so they are all fairly basic and could do with improving. The wood texture was made with NeoTextureEdit that I've been trying out and the background was rendered in Vue. The rendered pose is on frame 100. There are several shape keys included. Hope you like it. Comments are very welcome.
