Description:

This is an anisotropic material that uses a sierpinski squares pattern. It is completely procedural and has NOT OSL code. So it is available for GPU rendering. It is a cycles version of my OSL material.

I have included 5 presets and their renders.

The model has been made by Robin Marin (@tuqueque). I have used the 2.61 bleder test version. You can download it here. It was created to test materials and it is a CC-BY lincensed blend.

Enjoy it!

EDIT: Now it uses new Module option in Math node instead own Module node group.

I have no idea what I could use it for, but it looks damn cool! Could be the surface of alien metal. I should try to combine it with my iridescence node group. :D

I think it could be good for a gift wrapping paper. An artist used it for candies in http://www.blendernation.com/headers/geometric-candies/
