Here's a basic wood material for cycles. Mix of a diffuse, velvet, and glossy shader. Looks good on just about any furniture, or such. Normal texture is a little strong in some cases, but easy to turn down. Use it for however you like, though I'd appreciate seeing how its being used, just for fun!
Blessings my friend, this looks awesome and is perfect for my needs. You'll get to see everything i use it on, as i'll be sharing everything i make on here for others to use as they need. Thank you for this. your humble servant, ancient clown

This is not a procedural material because it uses an image to generate the wood pattern.
First of all, congratulations! I'm having difficulties to make this material work in my models. I've modeled a clock and when I assign this material, it only turns brown, without any texture when rendered. Do I need to change something in the nodes to make it work? If you need any other info, let know. Thanks in advance!
Sounds like you have not UV unwrapped your mesh. Let me know if you need help!
This is an awesome material btw!
Verry nice
Adding a RGBMix to the output of the image will give nice control of the wood color
In the bump setting !! Change the strength to 0.1 and the distance to 10
Works pretty much as is... also seems to work in EEVEE. The reason the included scene is black in EEVEE is that it has no point light. Very useful, comes with 4 images.
