This model I worked on is based on some pictures I found on google for the proportions of the body parts. Just started with a cube, added loop-cuts, extrude and subsurf modifier and so on.
Basically it is only the mesh object added with a basic material similar to plastic for the lego object. I've used the milk preset for the subsurface scattering and giving it some realism with environment lightning and ambient occlusion.
The object is not rigged yet, but maybe in future as I continue learning new skills.
