In my latest video I kitbash a robot model using simple parts and basic hard surface modelling techniques. I was also gonna come back and do some rigging but I'll share my simple file of that too. The rig lacks IK and it was intended to be just the control.

I've seen this done in zBrush but very cool to see it in Blender. Nice work! That's a lot of detail. I'll have to start thinking ahead more because this is a very cool workflow.
