We moved to new server!

Once again we will be moving moved to a new server because our hosting provider was no longer supporting the plan we used. But fear not! We just got a brand new server and we're working right now to complete the process.

So this is what's going to happen while we move during the following days:

• On Monday 10th, uploads will be disabled around mid day US Central Time. No more files will be allowed to be uploaded from both the upload and edit form. This is to "freeze" the state of the file tree to allow us to do a live copy to the new server.
• Once the file move is complete, we will shutdown the entire site so the database is "frozen" and move it to the new server, this will disable all interaction with the site. This could be completed on late Monday or early Tuesday. You will not be able to download more files until the database is completely moved at which point:
• On late Monday or early Tuesday (depending of when we move the database) we will change our DNS to point to the new server, and shut down the old one completely. The new server will be enabled immediately. When you see the site working again that means you're getting the site served from the new server and at that point you can keep using the site as usual.
• The site should be back 100% functional by Wednesday afternoon US Central Time, and all should work just fine.

Notes:

This is not�the release of Version 5; which is expected to be live around October 15th. You will not need to reset your password after this move is done, as we'll keep running on WordPress, as we always have.

Please bear with us while the service is limited for a couple of days, and keep checking here for updates, and when the site is disabled check Twitter, Google Plus and Facebook for updates as they happen.

Monday 10th (US Central Time):

• 10:05 - Disabled Blend Requests.
• 10:33 - Disabled all file uploads.
• 10:42 - Tests going great.
• 10:53 - Ready to rock!
• 11:02 - Full file tree move started.
• 12:30 - Bumped into issues with partition sizes on new server.
• 14:00 - With partitions resized, data transfer resumes.
• 17:05 - All files are transfered, complete site lock down announced.
• 19:00 - Live site shut down to "freeze" the database.
• 20:00 - Ran into problems importing database.
• 22:00 - Problem solve delayed until next morning.

Tuesday 11th (US Central time):

• 8:00 - Restarted activities.
• 9:00 - Problems with database import solved. Import successful.
• 9:15 - We changed DNS pointer and start waiting for propagation.
• 14:00 - All site parts are configured and ready to switch DNS settings.

Wednesday 12th (US Central Time):

• 10:00 - DNS has propagated to most parts of the world. Site's back on line pretty much as expected. Server move was a success!
